We are pleased to announce the latest release of Payroll: desktop version 2.56.2!

Flexipay has undergone a rebrand and has been renamed Payroll! Don't worry, all the old functionality remains the same, we just have a new name, a new logo, and few screens such as the login screen, the system update screen and system about information have been updated to reflect this.

The installer has been upgraded as well, and this will upgrade and rebrand your Flexipay software to Payroll.

As well as the rebrand, Payroll introduces the following new features (The full list of changes can be found in the table at the bottom of the article, with the latest release being at the top:

  • Mid year Primary Threshold (PT) changes - following the Spring Budget announcement that the PT is increasing from 06/07/2022 to £12,570 we have updated the legislation tables for this change. We have also updated the Directors' NI calculation so that the pro-rata value of £11,908 per year works for this tax year.

System preference has been added to the Payslips 1 page enabling payslip message to be omitted from the payslip (by default the message is still shown)

P11D count and totals when multiple companies submitted showing incorrectly (these were not zeroing after each company)

This has now been corrected to enable submission of P11Ds for multiple companies at once

This has now been corrected to allow the date picker to work

The fix applied in 2.56.2.5 has been extended to cover all similar scenarios

Payslip type in payslip preference, and when producing payslips was limiting the number of characters stopping the selection of the payslips with the longest names (Old continuous (0679))

This has been corrected to allow any payslip type to be selected as expected.

Mileage allowance on P11d submissions- HMRC field name change in 2017 was incorrectly applied to mileage allowances (Section E) causing a submission error

This has now been corrected so that the name change only applies to Expenses (Section N)

Average now includes SSP payments correctly again

Maximum character length on employee list which is sorted by name is erroring when name lengths are within limits

Validation on name length when sorting by name has been corrected so that it no longer errors

Non mandatory fields can now be blank again on any imports.

Director's NI was not using thresholds post release for payrolls pre 6th July. this has now been corrected

When creating a new addition relationship using quick relationship tool, you cannot set the field name to add a new rate field

The field number/field name edit now changes correctly when you switch between selecting an existing rate field or creating a new one

The validation message has now been corrected to allow values between -2 and 4000 (which are then checked against the drop down list of actual fields)
