Import Benefits

Matt Jennings Updated by Matt Jennings

Support has been added to be able to import certain benefit types against employees. A prerequisite to be able to do this is that the benefit type has already been created. The benefit types that are supported are Cars and car fuel, vans and van fuel and Private medical treatment or insurance.

Once all the relevant benefit types have been created, you are now ready to import the individual benefits against employees.

This can be done by selecting in the desktop system - System>Import functions>Import employee benefits

From here you will select the file to be imported, which benefit type you are importing, and which tax year it is for. There are also checkboxes to add the values in for each pay period, or delete existing benefits for all employees when importing in.

The format for Private medical benefits imports is as follows:

PayRef, Description, Start date, End date, Override (Y N), 1st std value, 2nd std value, Date of change, Amount made good, Benefit t/d, Employee payment t/d, Benefit for class 1A t/d, Amount taxed t/d
