Payroll Cycle Changes

Within an open payroll, on the run checks tab, there is a new check card for Tax codes and Student loan notices.

The card checks for any tax code and student loan notices that have been matched to employees within the pay group being run, whose effective date is prior to the payroll cut off, and displays the count of tax code and SL/PGL notices in the chip counters. If there are any to apply, the chip colour will be orange, with the check edge displaying orange as well. If there are none to apply then the edge of the card will display as green and the two chips counters will display as grey.

When you apply the messages, you get a confirmation of the count of the messages that have been applied.

Once applied, as described the edge of the card displays as green, with the count as 0.

If any new messages come in from HMRC and are matched to employees within the group and have an effective date before the payroll cut off, then these will display on the card to be applied, however it is up to the user to decide whether to apply the changes or not. Not applying the messages may cause error messages on the payroll check report.
