Working Patterns

Karishma Updated by Karishma

Previously known in the system as Qualifying patterns, due to the increase in functionality available we have renamed these to Working patterns to better convey how they can be used in the system.

Building on top of the Personal Working Patterns that were released as part of 2.58 year end release we have added the ability to show how much time has been worked on each day.

When editing a working pattern (either system [System – Maintain work patterns] or personal [Work Pattern field on the employee record]) there are new entry and display options.

Firstly there is an entry box for Hours in a full day whereby you can set the default hours to be worked in what is considered a full day for that working pattern. This can then be used for when converting to and from hours.

Secondly is the display option whereby you can change views between Working days, Day length in days and Day length in hours

The working days display works as the previous iteration whereby you must select the days in the working pattern that are to be worked.

Once days have been entered, the Day length in days display can be edited to the amount of a full day the employee has worked. It will default to 1.0000 and can be edited.

The Day length in hours display can be edited to the amount of a full day the employee has worked in hours. It will default to the number entered in Hours in a full day per full day but can be edited.

Once you are happy with the working pattern information, click OK to save the changes.
